It’s race day, so head out early and start your day tailgating with other fans, making new friendships, or catching up with old friends. As the gates open, head over to the souvenir trailers and Midway outside Turn 4 for the latest gear and interactive displays. Get an access pass and check out the Sprint FANZONE and Pre-Race ceremonies, including up-close access for driver intros and pre-race concert, a chance to sign your name on start/finish line, admission to driver question and answer sessions, and an opportunity to stand atop the garages for a birds-eye view behind the scenes.

Take your seats and watch as activity builds on pit road. Feel the excitement intensify after the National Anthem as jets fly overhead. Get ready for those 4 famous words in racing—“Gentlemen, Start Your Engines”—marking the start of the Daytona 500. Cars race past near 190 mph (306 km/h) side by side and only inches apart.
