Family-attentive Kimberley Alpine Resort has 1,800 skiable acres (729 ha), offering winter sports enthusiasts of all skill levels a huge variety of terrain to explore at British Columbia's sunniest ski resort.

Kimberley boasts 68 named runs plus another 12 in the glades in the heart of the charming Purcell Mountains. Approximately 20% of the terrain is classified as beginner, 42% as intermediate, and 38% appeals to advanced skiers. The slopes can be accessed by 5 different lifts, including a high-speed quad, and the back of the hill features The Black Forest—North America's largest gladed terrain.

With the summit at 6,500 feet (1,982 m), Kimberley is below the timberline—protecting the slopes from the wind—and sees more than 150 inches (400 cm) of snowfall each year. There's plenty of ground to cover here, with 2,467 feet (751 m) of vertical drop and runs like Ridgeway, which carves down the hillside for 4 rolling miles (6.5 km). If your style is more half-pipe than groomer, practice your jumps and grabs in the RCR Rail Park.

Just outside the town of Kimberley, B.C., the resort offer up plenty of après-ski fun for snow bunnies of all ages. Grab a drink in the Bavarian-themed downtown, or take the whole family to the ice skating rink, bowling alley, or movie theater for an entertaining evening out.
