Description:

Discover the Yucatan’s natural beauty by snorkeling in a cenote tucked deep in the jungle followed by an encounter with sea turtles at the coral reef. Join this small-group tour with a knowledgeable guide to explore the tropical seascape and get an underwater view of colorful fish.

A comfortable air-conditioned van takes you to the vast jungle and the cenote—a natural freshwater sinkhole hidden in the dense vegetation—named similarly to the Mayan word dz'onot, meaning “a cavern with water.” Plunge into the cool water of the crystal clear pond to observe the awe-inspiring rock formation at the bottom.

Next, continue to the coast and the charming white-sand Akumal beach. Then grab your snorkel and fins again and swim out to the nearby coral reef often frequented by sea turtles. Admire the graceful marine creatures as they drift slowly through the water and spot a variety of colorful tropical fish and corals.
