Description:

Enjoy the thrill of soaring like a bird and taking in incredible views on this tandem flight. Get a bird's-eye view of Byron Bay that takes your breath away on this hang-gliding adventure. See local aquatic life like dolphins, turtles, and even whales from your perch in the air.

Meet your professional guide at Johnson Street and listen to a safety briefing and tutorial. Then you're helped into your special tandem hang-gliding harness, which is adjusted to your size and shape for maximum comfort during your flight.

Then take to the air and feel the thrill of deflected air coming from the cliffs below you as you fly through the blue sky. While soaring, keep your legs tucked up into your harness, take a break, and enjoy the breeze as your instructor plays with the speed.

Keep an eye out for the popular Byron Bay dolphins, turtles, or even white-breasted sea eagles. Fly past the world-famous Cape Byron Nature Reserve or over the ocean of gorgeous Lennox Head to spot humpback whales. After your 30-minute flight, prepare yourself for a landing at the Tallow Beach.

Know before you book: You must be 14 or older and weigh less than 210 pounds (95 kg)., If you are pregnant, you may not take part., If you have back, neck, joint, or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether to participate., If you fear heights, you should consider carefully to take part in this activity., You can elect to fly over Cape Byron National Park (for southeasterly winds) or the Lennox Headland Nature Reserve (for northerly winds)., Hours of operations are from 9 AM to 6:30 PM daily.
