Description:

Visit the lifestyle town of Byron Bay in 1 day and soak in the idyllic atmosphere of Australia's easternmost point.

Start your journey by heading south, passing popular beachside suburbs and crossing the border into New South Wales. Enjoy the scenic drive, passing Tweed Valley, the heart of sugar cane country.

Then arrive in coastal town Byron Bay and walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse to enjoy the stunning views of the town and the Pacific Ocean. This lookout is the most easterly point of the Australian mainland, so make sure to have your picture taken there.

Take some time to browse in trendy shops and have lunch (own expense) in one of the many cafés and restaurants. Why not go for a swim in the Pacific Ocean? If you're lucky you'll spot turtles, dolphins, sea eagles, or whales (June to October).

Enjoy more great views of the majestic Mount Warning, the remnant of an ancient volcanic caldera, before arriving at Tropical Fruit World for exotic fruit, unique gifts, extraordinary orchards, and green gardens.
