Description:

Visit Old Bangkok on a full-day, 19-mile (30-km) bike ride to glimpse the city as it was only a few decades ago. Pedal to the Bangkok Noi canal and the Thonburi train depot, watch artisans craft gold alms bowls, and explore centuries-old temples before a longboat ride at a floating market.

Hop on your bike at the Royal Plaza, a central square with views of Bangkok's fantastically gilded and ornate Grand Palace. Pedal serenely along the banks of the Chao Phraya River and cross over the Rama VIII cable bridge into peaceful Thonburi, where an ancient way of life can still be seen and the frenetic bustle of modern Bangkok feels miles away.

Admire the majestic, Khmer-style prang of the temple of Wat Arun, which is encrusted in mosaics of seashells and porcelain, and pass by Wat Rakhang, the Temple of the Bells.
