A delightful train ride on a historic line of track gives you a spectacular view of the picturesque coastline north of Dunedin. As you rumble over high cliff tops and trundle through seashore villages, look out and appreciate the wild beauty of this stunning stretch of country.

After you set out from Dunedin's magnificent railway station, ride up around the natural Otago Harbor—regarded as one of the most charming in the world—to the charming Port Chalmers, where you begin to climb the cliffs for panoramic views of the ocean and coastline stretching into the distance.
