Description:

Discover the landscapes, people, and traditions of central Australia on a 6-day tour to some of the Outback's most majestic sights. See the mountains and rock formations that define the iconic scenery and learn the history of its native people, from ancient times to the modern day.

Day 1:
Once you arrive in Alice Springs, get settled in at your hotel in preparation for your upcoming adventure.

Day 2:
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges and visit a camel farm, where you can buy an optional camel ride before you move on. Get a view of the majestic Mt, Conner before you arrive at Ayers Rock Resort.

In the late afternoon, head to the Uluru sunset viewing area, where you can watch the shifting colors that fall across the giant sandstone monolith of Uluru. After the sunset, visit an exclusive barbecue site, enjoy dinner with Australian meats and salads and a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice, and listen as your guide points out the constellations overhead and shares Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars.

Day 3:
Get up early to visit the Uluru sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, and watch as dawn sets the Red Centre alight. After a tour around the base of Uluru, head out for a walk to the charming Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can view Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area. Next, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn about Aboriginal culture and see traditional arts and crafts.

In the afternoon, take a walk in the valley between the massive domed conglomerate rocks of Kata Tjuta and admire the unique flora and fauna in this harsh environment. When you reach the Valley of the Winds Lookout, take some time to look over the central valley of Kata Tjuta and witness another magnificent Outback sunset.

Day 4:
After a morning of leisure, travel to Kings Canyon for a chance to see the sun setting behind Carmichaels Crag.

Day 5:
In the morning, you can choose either a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon, which offers marvelous views of Watarrka National Park, or an easier walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor. After a stop at Kings Creek Station, start the return journey back to Alice Springs.

Day 6:
A transfer takes you back to Alice Springs Airport for your onward flight as the tour comes to an end.
