The moral of this traditional folk tune is as relevant now as when it was written many moons ago: that one should utilize everything and not throw anything away. Krakevisa, or “The crow song,” hails originally from Norway, but its widespread popularity has led to Swedish, Danish and Faroese versions.

Like this folk song’s pan-Scandinavian appeal, our Nordic twist on the Dry Martini is a celebration of the flavors of this region. Snaps Bornholm No.2 showcases some of Denmark’s finest ingredients including sea buckthorn, dill and cucumber. Aalborg Taffel is a classic aquavit which has been an institution in its home country since the 19th century, characterized by its lovely caraway and citrus flavor.

The traditional touch of the martini is imparted by the citrus and floral notes of Regal Rouge Lively White Vermouth and Australia’s Marine Botanical Vodka. Sauvignon Blanc adds a hint of zesty lime and tropical fruit to this cocktail.
