There are some places you visit that surprise you in ways you didn’t think were possible. They leave you wanting more. Fort Lauderdale, with its miles and miles of beach, hours of endless sunshine and appreciation of the finer things in life, is one of those places. Often overshadowed by its bigger, brassier sister Miami, we think it’s time that Fort Lauderdale shone on her own.

The city is a sun-drenched gem that can more than hold her own against Miami’s pastel-hued hotels and Orlando’s theme parks. In fact, the city’s 300-miles of meandering waterways have earned it the moniker of being the Venice of America. Yachting is a way of life here, if you aren’t lucky enough to have your own, then grab a water taxi and simply sit back and enjoy the calm and tranquillity of the beautiful waters.

But Fort Lauderdale is above all the starting point of our fabulous World Cruise 2021. For the lucky few who will spend 150 days visiting 54 ports in 34 countries, we thought that this was a voyage that definitely needed to be celebrated! Starting as we mean to go on, let’s hope our signature French 75 will send you off in style.
